SREC Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

The SREC Operations Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing Solar Renewable Energy Credit (SREC) processes within our company. This role involves ensuring that SREC-related tasks are completed accurately and on time, supporting homeowners with SREC issues, and collaborating with account managers to streamline project progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SRECs, solar energy production, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SREC Queue Management

– Clear the SREC-ready queue daily before the end of each workday.

– Update the SREC sales issue queue at least three times per week.

– Ensure Part 1 and Part 2 of the SREC queue are completed by Friday each week.

2. Homeowner Support

– Reach out to homeowners who are not receiving their SRECs and provide assistance in resolving issues.

– Work with the Carbon Solutions portal to help homeowners optimize their solar panel production and manage associated costs.

3. Collaboration and Communication

– Support account managers and other team members to expedite project timelines and resolve bottlenecks.

– Respond to inquiries via BlueChats and Slack channels promptly to ensure smooth communication.

4. Continuous Improvement

– Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency of SREC management and customer support.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Experience in the solar industry, particularly with SRECs, is highly desirable.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, regular office environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with solar energy production metrics and Carbon Solutions portal.

  • Prior experience in customer service or account management in the renewable energy sector.
